Carenet and Texas Children's Health Plan Partner to Assist 247,000 Texans

Carenet, a national leader in the healthcare support services industry, and Texas Children's Health Plan (TCHP) have announced a strategic partnership to provide over 247,000 TCHP members with 24/7 access to healthcare professionals.

Carenet will provide TCHP members in Houston, TX and its surrounding areas with healthcare support services, including: Nurse Advice Line services, Behavioral Health Crisis Assistance, Utilization Management, and Member Services support.

TCHP currently assists families throughout the Houston area with its STAR (Medicaid) and CHIP programs, and elected to partner with Carenet because of the company's extensive industry experience, exceptional customer service record, and its recognition as one of the healthcare industry's leading organizations.

"We are extremely excited to become an extension of TCHP and join them in their goal to provide excellent, quality care to the adults and children in the Houston area," said Vikie Spulak, Carenet Executive Vice President. "By offering TCHP members 24/7 access to a team of registered nurses who can provide them medical assistance, guidance on where and when to receive care and support with program related questions and services, we will significantly increase member satisfaction.

"Our partnership with TCHP is a testament to our promise of offering personalized support to all our clients and their members. Carenet will deliver on this promise by offering TCHP members healthcare support services when they need it most – anytime, any day of the week."

As recognized leaders in their industries, the combination of Carenet's expertise and TCHP's dedication to the community will positively impact TCHP members and their families.

"The depth and breadth of Carenet's healthcare expertise will enable Texas Children's Health Plan members to obtain the information they need in a quick, effective manner," said Donna DeVaughn-Tidline, Texas Children's Health Plan Director of Member Services. "By integrating Carenet's dynamic healthcare support services solutions into our programs, we can provide practical and emotional assistance from registered nurses who understand the health concerns of Texas families. It places us at a distinct communications advantage when it comes to serving the needs of our members."
